Is Zootopia on Hulu?
This is bad news; Zootopia is not on Hulu and it won’t be soon either. The Walt Disney movie is currently only available to watch at Disney Plus. Keep reading to know about how you can watch Zootopia today among other extraordinary films!
About Zootopia
Zootopia is a film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. It was released to the general public in movie theaters in the United States in March 2016. The movie received a lot of positive reviews as well as multiple awards, including a Golden Globe for Best Animated Film.
The story of the film takes place in Zootopia, a city where anthropomorphic animals live peacefully. The movie follows the adventures of a rabbit police officer (Judy Hopps) and a fox (Nick Wilde) who is also a con artist, while they aim to discover the criminal conspiracy behind the disappearance of several predators in the city.
Why Zootopia is not on Hulu?
As you already know, Zootopia is not available to watch on Hulu. The reason has to do with Disney Plus reclaiming its exclusive right to stream movies produced by both Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios. Other brands owned by The Walt Disney Company are part of this exclusive right to stream now.
Not only Hulu has suffered the subtraction of Disney content: but Netflix also had to let go of many titles, including Zootopia, which was removed from Netflix in March 2018. More titles are scheduled to depart from other streaming platforms this year.
Where to watch Zootopia?
However, you can either rent or buy the movie from iTunes, Vudu, Google Play, and AMC on Demand. Renting Zootopia can cost you $3.99 while buying it is more expensive. Buying Zootopia on iTunes, for example, costs $9.99, while buying it on Vudu costs as much as $19.99.
Nevertheless, the price you should be willing to pay to hire Disney Plus and enjoy not only Zootopia but all of Disney content is $7.99 per month.
About Disney Plus
This relatively new streaming service was launched two years ago and is in charge of The Walt Disney Company’s Media and Entertainment Distribution division. The content you can hope to find on this platform belongs to the following brands: Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic.
Disney Plus is available in North America and select European and Asian countries like Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia. The service is also available in Latin America and the United Kingdom.
Although the above-mentioned price ($7.99) is for an ad-free streaming service, the company is willing to launch an ad-supported plan for a lower price. It will probably be ready for 2023.
How to get Disney Plus?
You can sign up now to Disney Plus and watch Zootopia today by following these simple steps!
Using Web Browser:
Access disneyplus. comClick on “Sign Up”. Provide an e-mail address. Enter a strong password. Select a type of subscription (Disney Plus allows you to pay monthly or annually). Provide payment information. Click on “Start watching”.
The same process applies when using a mobile device, but you must hire the service from the Disney Plus app, which is available in Google Play App and Apple App Store.
Unluckily for many people that already enjoy a Hulu subscription, Zootopia is not an optional movie to watch on this streaming service. The only place where you can watch the film any time you want is Disney Plus, although you can rent or buy the movie on iTunes, Google Play, or Vudu. If you consider yourself a Disney fan, or even a Marvel or a Star Wars fan, you should get Disney Plus and enjoy exclusive content from these brands, including, of course, the amazing Zootopia.
What other content was removed from Netflix to join Disney Plus?
Some movies that already left Netflix are Princess & the Frog, The Muppets, and Tinker Bell’s movies.
Why is Marvel content available on Disney Plus?
Marvel content is available on Disney Plus because Disney acquired Marvel Studios and, thus, has the exclusive right to stream Marvel movies (but not all of them).
Does Disney Plus also create original content?
Yes, it does. Many Marvel superheroes’ shows were created to stream only at Disney Plus.
