On September 15, Lieutenant Lead representative Manoj Sinha had said that Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday will be commended as a public occasion.
Sinha had expressed this during his gathering with a designation involving unmistakable political pioneers, individuals from the Yuva Rajput Sabha, common society individuals, among others, at the Raj Bhavan.
The L-G had seen during the gathering that Maharaja Hari Singh was an extraordinary educationist, moderate scholar, social reformer and a transcending figure with thoughts and standards. The public occasion will be a fitting recognition for Maharaja Hari Singh, he had said.
Relevantly, on the heading of the L-G, a four-part panel was comprised by the UT organization recently to inspect the public interest with respect to pronouncing Maharaja Hari Singh’s introduction to the world commemoration as open occasion.
Hari Singh (1895-1961) was the last decision Maharaja of the royal province of Jammu and Kashmir.
