For a long time, Warner Bros. adaptation of Stephen King’s IT looked doomed to languish in development hell. It was first announced in 2009 and True Detective’s Cary Fukunaga was attached to the project for almost three years before the whole thing fell apart in 2015. However, things quickly righted themselves - Mama’s Andrés Muschietti took over the director’s chair, Bill Skarsgård put on the clown shoes and the movie’s now on course for a September 2017 release....

Warner Bros. has several DC Extended Universe projects in development, and one of the more anticipated is The Batman, set to be Ben Affleck’s first solo film as the Caped Crusader. For a while, the belief was the Oscar winning filmmaker would make it his next directorial effort, but that is no longer the case. Affleck recently stepped down from the director’s chair on The Batman, citing his desire to fully commit himself to his performance as Bruce Wayne....

According to Apple, the current iPod Touch will remain available “while stocks last”. It’s no surprise that Apple is finally dropping the iPod Touch from its lineup. The device last saw an update in 2019, and estimated sales compared to the iPhone are likely a drop in the ocean. Dropping the iPod Touch allows Apple to streamline its supply chain by freeing up production capacity while simultaneously driving the last remaining hold outs to the iPhone....

Apple paid over $1.7 million dollars for one small acre of land adjacent to its North Carolina data center, reports claim. Apple wanted the land because of its proximity to its data center, which is widely expected to become a key part of Apple’s cloud-based services plans once it is complete early next year. The one acre of land held a small house owned by the Fulbright family. Apple had made previous offers for the place, but the family refused to sell, in the end Apple offered a pretty much blank cheque....

Apple has released updated versions of its iWork apps for iPhone and iPad to take advantage of new features that are available with iOS 13 and iPadOS 13. New features for the iWork iOS suite include Dark Mode support, external drive support, multitasking support in iPadOS 13, the ability to use custom fonts from the App Store, and much more for iPhone and iPad. J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot are reuniting with director Julius Avery for a superhero movie titled The Heavy. Abrams and Avery made headlines last month at CinemaCon when they debuted footage from the intriguing (and bizarre-looking) supernatural WWII thriller Overlord, which Avery helmed and Abrams produced. Abrams further made waves by declaring that despite what previous reports would have everyone believe, Overlord is not a secret Cloverfield movie and exists separate from that franchise....

As we reported would happen, Apple Pay will be going live in the U.K. today. The service launches in the country with support from more than 250,000 stores, including Waitrose and Transport for London on its transportation networks. Currently, 8 U.K. banks support Apple Pay. Those banks are American Express, First Direct, HSBC, Nationwide, NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander and Ulster Bank. Notably missing from that list is Barclays, who is said to still be in negotiations with Apple to support the platform....

A new forecast published on Tuesday from analyst firm Gartner details how worldwide spending on IT services will grow in 2022. In particular, Gartner forecasts that the enterprise software segment – which includes the cloud market – will grow the most in IT spending at 11% year-over-year. The IT services segment – which includes consulting and management services – is expected to have the second-highest spending growth in 2022, reaching $1....

IT star Finn Wolfhard says that Pennywise is scarier than Stranger Things’ Demogorgon. The horror genre is often a prime spot for young actors to begin making a mark in Hollywood, but few are getting the scares started younger than Finn Wolfhard. Back at Apple’s October 22nd iPad Air event, the company also unveiled an update to its iWork for iCloud online productivity suite beta that included new real-time collaboration features, easier sharing, and more.
